* Two passenger jets in Russia explode & crash minutes from each other

* Suicide bomber detonates belt by subway entrance in Moscow

* 400 hostages, 200 of them children taken by over a dozen terrorists in North Ossetia in Russia

* Two busses in Israel blownup by suicide bombers.

Seems like a terrorist month. I wonder if all of this were happening in the US or Europe what kind of outcry and reaction will it cause? But since its the "poor and helpless" Tchetchen or Palestinian "freedom fighters" who are doing this the Western media will not see this as important articles. Typical.

One day when Trafalgar Square or the Eiffel tower get blown up maybe they will react, albeit too late but at least they will taste how ignorance and pity for muslim extremism is expensive. Human Rights? Independence? Thats all B****T. Nuke them and all the world's troubles will go away. A bit extreme? Why not check were are all the terrorist hotspots are originated from? Islamic extremists who take cover behind their Khoran and call all others infidels. Bunch of retarded clerics who call on the masses to die for them. Just nuke them. All of them.

it just boils down to complaceny towards the people who do these acts in the name of FREEDOM or INDEPENDENCE... as many ordinary people in russia will tell you... chechnya is and will always be a lawless republic of thieves and murderers... why dont they just get nuked or go back to steal mules from their neighbours as they have done throughout their pitifull existence... i suppose as soon as 9/11 happened the WEST took a different stance to the so called Chechen cause for independence, they are just terrorists with murder and savagery in their hands... let them be handled in the terms which they understand best... they take one russian out we take a village out.

"the only winners in a war are the dead..."

Plato.

or something like that... why is our society the only one which favours research & design of better means to eradicate their neighbours? could it be that our own self preservation causes such acts of hate and rage upon others? what could motivate sudden acts of war which may have dormant hate over decades to spring up like modern Europe's Bosnia conflict? The content of atrocities matched or exceeded what the modern society only remembered from the Holocaust.

Yet the reaction of our peers throughout the world to usual massacres and genocides elswhere goes as a simple news update that is quickly forgotten, current flashpoints in Africa, Middle East and Asia have become "common" news.... i agree to the principle that peace is won through war... but there is no war in those places, just hate and misery.

Will mankind ever see all this? Or will it only be noticed once it has engulfed the whole globe?

I come from a family which has seen war first hand in their own soil, my grandfather was in the ruins of stalingrad fighting nazis while my grandmother helped build shells for tanks... my country had the highest toll in that war... 27 million.

Yet 50 years from now all is forgotten, few remain to recount last stands and bayonet charges in despair... what is forgotten from history is replayed to the ignorant.

did it... finished Max Payne 2... excellent game... just like watching a movie... the plot was worthy of a good hollywood movie... just the ending was tragic.. made me shed a couple of tears... the special effects... graphics... story... voice overs... excellent... although the game was considerably shorter than the original Max Payne it is well worth a replay in the unlocked difficulty levels... so i will still be busy with it... i respect the Finnish development team on this well made sequel.

in other news :

it should hit over 40 degrees today here... yesterday it hit 39.

monday was the most unproductive day i had this year so far... maybe the heat had something to do with it... i was just not in the mood for WORK... hope today is a better day...

Kill Bill Part I is scheduled to hit SA on the 6th of Feb... woohooo!!!

Anybody who would reccomment an Audio Shop in SA which would sell a high-fidelity Home Theatre system? I can only think of Hi-Fi Corp. Just looking for an amp ( DOLBY DIGITAL, DTS ) and a set of 5.1 or even 7.1 speakers.

Hope you all have a better day...

sometimes i feel like my icon... stuck in a box... around and around... *sigh*

with all the attention on the mars missions ( US and UK ) it would be nice to ask whether you believe that Mars did actually sustain an environment suitable for human-like life to develop?

My opinion is that the evidence that NASA are SHOWING us is still quite inconclusive, we will only get a clearer picture once everything gets uncensored and when a manned mission gets off to the red planet...

now the dilema is whether such a mission is viable due to the cost and time taken... yet it would be nice to know that something could have existed, and if it did what leftovers of such a life would have been left on the ground...

and maybe on the long term approach it would also be nice to use Mars as a future ground from where to endevour longer missions to other planets outside our system... too far fetched i know.

what do you think about Mars? ( the planet, not the choc bar...)

http://www.rednova.com/imagery/iod/0002/2004/01/010704_mars_surface_206big_spirit_color_nasa.jpg
